Tasting national cuisine is one of the key elements in any journey. Karelian dishes can help you to feel and comprehend the culture of the northern people inhabiting the forests, rocks and lakes. Our cooks use local products acquired directly from local suppliers. We often use local fish, elk meat and venison, wild mushrooms and berries. But the main ingredient is a part of our soul. Each dish is cooked with love and great attention to detail.

We use clay, cast iron and timber ware to serve the dishes. This type of tableware highlights the uniqueness of Karelian cuisine and contributes to its Northern charm. If you like not only enjoying the food but also cooking, our chef invites you to join a cooking workshop. During the workshop cooks will share the secrets of Karelian cuisine and guide you in cooking process.

Kalitkas (rye pies)

An open rye pie with mashed potato or millet porridge. Workshop duration is 20 min., then kalitkas are being baked for 30 min. After that you can enjoy tea with the pastry.
