Challenging the power of Nature

First day. The most challenging rapid of the Upper Shuya is Sizovsky Rapid of Class II-III. It requires considerable efforts and good paddling skills. This rapid is a perfect  spot to master skills and feel the confidence and energy of a champion.

Second day. This day is for a very difficult rapid of the upper Shuya – Kenjakoski, a three-step rapid of Class III-IV. The decision whether the group should skip it or try to navigate it, is taken by a tour guide depending on the paddling skills of the tourists. This rapid is a real challenge, be ready!

Third day. A very beautiful rapid called Kunio (Class II-III) will be the reward for all the efforts you made on the previous days. Navigating this rapid is pure joy.

Petrozavodsk – the Shuya River – the Sizovsky Rapid (Class II-III) – the Sobachy Rapid (Class II) – the dam of Ignojlskaya River power plant – the Kenjakoski Rapid (Class III) – the Maliy Valojne Rapid (Class I) – the Kumio Rapid (Class III) – the bridge near Sodder village – Petrozavodsk

Briefing on safety, general information on the tour 
Packing and equipping
Training sessions
Rafting: the bridge by Hautavaara village – the Sizovsky Rapid (Class II-III) (16 km)
Lunch
Setting up the camp
Dinner and overnight stay at the camp

Day 2
Breakfast
Rafting: the dam of Ignojlskaya River power plant – the Kenjakoski Rapid (Class III) – the Valojne Rapid (Class I) – the Sarikoski Rapid (Class II) (12 km)
Dinner
Setting up the camp
Setting up and going to the camp sauna (optional)
Dinner and overnight stay at the camp

Day 3
Breakfast
Rafting: the Sarikoski Rapid (Class II) – the Kumio Rapid (Class III) – the bridge near Sodder village (17 km)
Transfer to Karjala Park
Lunch
Transfer to the railways station of Petrozavodsk (on request, additionally charged 1500 rub per group)

A tour guide may change the route depending on the weather conditions and tourists' paddling skills and experience.
