Extreme Uksa

The Uksa River or Uksanjokki is the heart of Karelian white water rafting. Thousands of rafting fans from Russia and other countries gather at the Uksa every year in order to challenge themselves at its numerous rapids.

If you dare to test your skills at this unpredictable river, the emotions will be overwhelming!

We offer you a route that includes four challenging rapids of Class III and IV.

The Route:

Petrozavodsk – the Uksa River – the Bridge Rapid (Class I-II) – the Saucer Rapid – the Salmon Rapid – Pink Elephant Rapid (Class III) – the Mill Rapid – the Canyon Rapid (Class III-IV) – the Khramina Rapid (Class III-IV) – Uksa village

Day 1
Meeting at Karjala Park (transfer to Karjala Park is organised on request, additionally charged 1500 rub. / group)  
Breakfast
Transfer to the start of the tour – the Uksa river
Briefing on safety
Packing and equipping, training sessions in water
Rafting: the Uksa – the Bridge Rapid (Class I-II) – the Saucer Rapid (12 km)
Lunch 
Arrival to the camp site, setting up the camp
Dinner and overnight stay at the camp

Day 2
Breakfast
Rafting: the Salmon Rapid – the Pink Elephant Rapid (Class III) – the Mill Rapid (Class III-IV) – the Canyon Rapid (Class III-IV) – the Khramina Rapid (Class III-IV) (18 km)
Lunch
Arrival to the camp site, setting up the camp
Dinner and overnight stay at the camp

Day 3
Breakfast
Rafting: the Khramina Rapid (Class III-IV) – Uksa village (6 km)
Arrival to the tourist centre “Tri stihii” (Three elements)
Sauna/banya
Lunch in a café
Transfer to the railway station of Ladejnoe Pole

A tour guide may change the route depending on the the weather conditions and tourists' skills and experience
